We know you have LOTS of questions. You'll find answers to the most frequently asked ones below.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (F.A.Q.)

What is delta-8 THC?

It is one of over 120 naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. The most well known of these are CBD, CBN, CBG, and delta-9 THC.

Is delta-8 THC intended to imitate medical marijuana, recreational marijuana, and/or delta-9 THC?

No. delta-8 is it’s own substance and is not intended to imitate or synthesize any other legal or illegal substance.

Is delta-8 THC synthetic?

No, it is naturally occurring in small amounts in all hemp varieties. Through selective breeding during the past few crop cycles breeders have dramatically increased the amount of delta-8 THC in their industrial hemp crops.

Is delta-8 THC the same as herbal incense (aka spice)?

No, herbal incense (aka spice) is a common name for any number of synthetic, laboratory created cannabinoids. All of our delta-8 THC products are derived entirely from naturally occurring delta-8 THC and exclusively from industrial hemp plants.

How strong is delta-8 THC?

That’s tough to say but, exclusively for comparison sake, most estimates are that it is approximately 60% as psychoactive as delta-9 THC.

Is delta-8 THC inebriating?

The level of inebriation varies from person to person and depending on the number of milligrams used but any amount of delta-8 THC has the potential to be inebriating. It is commonly described as being 60% as intoxicating as delta-9. Do not operate vehicles or heavy machinery when using delta-8 THC. Treat it like alcohol in terms of precautions. If you shouldn’t do it after a night of drinking, then shouldn’t do it after using delta-8 THC.

How long does it take to feel the effects?

First, however long you think it is going to take, give it longer. Please don’t try using more! Wait it out and try more tomorrow if you don’t think it was enough. Please don’t be one of those dumbasses on the news because you used more and then freaked out two hours later. Now that that’s out of the way, here are some general guidelines based on empirical information found online. Also, please note that using any of these on an empty stomach will speed the process a little and increase the intensity.

  • Edibles - 1 to 1 ½ hours with full effects at 2 hours or so.
  • Sublingual - 45 minutes to 1 hour with full effects in 1 ½ so. Be sure to hold it under your tongue for 30-45 seconds before swallowing.
  • Vape - 5 to 10 minutes with full effects in 15 to 30 minutes.

How old do you have to be to buy delta-8 THC?

There is no specific law regarding this but as a matter for company policy we do not sell it to anyone under 18 years of age. DO NOT PROVIDE THESE PRODUCTS TO MINORS! Don’t risk hurting an inexperienced individual or ruining this for everyone.

Will delta-8 THC show up on a drug test?

There has been very little research on this subject but most likely yes. Most drug tests check for the presence of THC and have not been designed to differentiate between the various types. If a positive drug test could possibly be detrimental to your life then we strongly recommend avoiding delta-8 THC.

How can authorities determine the difference between delta-8 THC and delta-9 THC?

Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is commonly employed in testing labs and should be able to accurately differentiate between the two.

How do I know what is actually in my delta-8 THC product?

All of the delta-8 THC products that we offer include a QR code that provides access to the actual certificate of analysis (COA) for the specific batch of that product.

Is delta-8 THC legal?

As of this publication it is currently legal under Federal law and under Missouri state law. Please refer to your local and State laws to determine legality in your jurisdiction.

Why is delta-8 THC legal if delta-9 THC is not?

Federal law and Missouri law both define industrial hemp based on the dry weight % of delta-9 THC. None of the other naturally occurring cannabinoids in the hemp plant are considered. If the delta-9 THC content is 0.3% or higher then it is defined as marijuana (depending on your State that marijuana could be legal medical, legal recreational, or simply completely illegal no matter what). While it is just as easy to  extract delta-8 THC from marijuana with 0.3% or higher delta-9 THC, for added security we only sell delta-8 THC products that are derived from an industrial hemp base.

Do I need a medical card?

Delta 8 THC is defined as industrial hemp under Missouri State law and US Federal law. As a result, it is not classified as Marijuana and a medical card is not required to purchase it.

What illnesses, diseases, and/or conditions does delta-8 THC treat?

Officially, none. The FDA does not officially recognize delta-8 THC, delta-9 THC, or even CBD, CBN, or CBG as being beneficial for any medical purpose. As a result, we are strictly prohibited from making any medical claims regarding their benefits. Our suggestion is to google delta-8 THC benefits or uses and review the information available there (much of which looks very promising).

Do you ship delta-8 THC or sell it online?

No, we only retail delta-8 THC products in our store in Kansas City, Missouri. Please stop by and we would be happy to help you find the perfect delta-8 THC solution to meet your needs.
